Ikirun College of Health Technology on Thursday, July 30, 2026 played host to the management of the Primary Health Care Tutors' Programme of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, during an inspection visit to students undertaking their teaching practice at the institution.
The visit formed part of the University's quality assurance and supervision exercise aimed at assessing the performance, competence, and professional development of its students on teaching practice, while ensuring that approved training institutions continue to provide a conducive environment for effective learning and practical experience.
The visiting team engaged with the students, observed teaching sessions, reviewed instructional methods, and interacted with the College's management and academic staff on strategies for enhancing teaching effectiveness and professional development.
Speaking during the visit, members of the UCH inspection team commended Ikirun College of Health Technology for providing a supportive academic environment, adequate teaching facilities, and the necessary institutional support that enable student teachers to gain valuable practical experience.
Welcoming the team, the Registrar, Mr. Abdullah Adeoye who represented the Rector, Mr. Salaudeen Oyewale reaffirmed the College's commitment to maintaining high academic standards and strengthening collaborative partnerships with reputable institutions across the country to promote excellence in health education.
The College noted that such collaborations continue to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, expose students to best practices, and contribute significantly to the production of competent healthcare professionals capable of meeting the evolving healthcare needs of society.
The inspection visit further reflects the growing confidence that leading health institutions place in Ikirun College of Health Technology as a centre committed to academic excellence, practical training, and the development of skilled healthcare professionals.
