CONVOCATION ADDRESS BY THE FOUNDER AND VISIONEER OF JAF VOCATIONAL CENTRE

On the occasion of the Maiden Convocation Ceremony of JAF Vocational Centre

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin.

The Chairman of this occasion, our distinguished guests, respected elders, our parents and guardians, members of the management team, our dedicated instructors, our partners, friends of JAF Vocational Centre, and most importantly, our graduating students…

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Before I say anything today, I want to sincerely thank Almighty Allah.

Because standing here before you is not just a moment of celebration for me.

It is a moment of reflection.

It is a moment that reminds me of the journey.

It is a moment that reminds me that every vision has a beginning.

Today, as I look around this gathering, I cannot help but feel deeply grateful.

Some people may look around and see a big tent standing on a field.

But when I look around, I see something much bigger.

I see hope.

I see determination.

I see parents who sacrificed.

I see instructors who gave their best.

I see young men and women who chose to learn, grow, and prepare themselves for the future.

I see a dream that has become reality.

Today is not just a convocation.

Today is the beginning of a legacy.

There was a time when JAF Vocational Centre was only an idea in the heart.

There was no graduation ceremony.

There were no students wearing gowns.

There were no families gathered to celebrate success.

There was only a vision and the belief that with the right skills, lives could be transformed.

I have always believed that every individual has something valuable inside them.

Sometimes, all they need is the right environment, the right training, and someone who believes in them.

That belief is what gave birth to JAF Vocational Centre.

The journey has not always been easy.

Every meaningful vision comes with challenges.

There were moments of uncertainty.

There were moments when questions came.

There were moments when the road ahead looked difficult.

But through it all, Allah remained faithful.

Today, I can look back and say that every sacrifice was worth it.

Because the greatest reward of any vision is not just seeing an idea succeed.

The greatest reward is seeing lives changed.

And that is what today represents.

My dear graduating students…

Today, I want you to understand something.

You are not just receiving certificates.

You are receiving a responsibility.

You are becoming representatives of this institution.

You are becoming ambassadors of JAF Vocational Centre.

When people meet you outside this place, they may not know your lecturers.

They may not know your classrooms.

They may not know your struggles.

But they will know JAF through your attitude, your professionalism, and the quality of your work.

Your skill will open doors.

But your character will keep those doors open.

Always remember that.

Be honest.

Be hardworking.

Be respectful.

Keep learning.

Never believe that because you have graduated today, you have finished learning.

The world continues to change, and those who continue to improve are those who continue to grow.

Today, we proudly celebrate 21 graduates across different departments.

We celebrate 3 graduates from Media.

We celebrate 4 graduates from Cosmetology.

We celebrate 1 graduate from Sunamedic.

We celebrate 9 graduates from Fashion.

We celebrate 1 graduate from Shoemaking.

We celebrate 3 graduates from Culinary.

To some people, these numbers may look small.

But to me, they are not just numbers.

They are 21 stories.

They are 21 dreams.

They are 21 lives that have taken a new direction.

And I believe this is only the beginning.

My dear graduates, always remember this:

The world does not only need people looking for opportunities.

The world needs people who create opportunities.

Use what you have learnt.

Build something meaningful.

Employ others.

Teach others.

Become a blessing to your families and communities.

To our parents and guardians…

Today, we celebrate you too.

Behind every graduate sitting here today is someone who encouraged them.

Someone who sacrificed for them.

Someone who prayed for them.

Someone who believed in them even when the journey was not easy.

Your investment has produced results.

Your prayers have become a celebration.

May Almighty Allah reward every sacrifice you have made.

To our instructors, lecturers, and members of staff…

I cannot thank you enough.

People see the graduates today, but I know the effort behind their success.

I know the patience.

I know the corrections.

I know the dedication.

A vision may begin with one person, but it takes committed people to bring that vision to life.

Thank you for believing in JAF Vocational Centre.

Thank you for giving your best.

To our supporters, partners, and everyone who has contributed to this journey…

We appreciate you.

Your support has helped us come this far.

You are part of this story.

And today, we celebrate with you.

As we celebrate this first convocation, I am also excited about what lies ahead.

By the grace of Almighty Allah, another set of about 72 students will be graduating this December.

If celebrating 21 graduates today can fill our hearts with joy, then imagine the celebration that awaits us.

This tells us something important.

The vision is growing.

The impact is increasing.

The journey has only started.

Our dream is not just to train people.

Our dream is to raise confident individuals who can create value, build businesses, and become solutions wherever they find themselves.

We want JAF graduates to be known for excellence.

We want them to be known for integrity.

We want people to say, “This person was trained at JAF Vocational Centre, and you can see the difference.”

That is the legacy we want to build.

My dear graduates…

Before you leave here today, remember this.

One day, this institution will grow.

One day, there may be bigger halls.

There may be bigger facilities.

There may be thousands of graduates.

But this day will always remain special.

Because before there was a second graduating class…

Before there were hundreds of graduates…

Before there were thousands of success stories…

There was you.

You were the first.

You believed in this vision when it was still becoming.

You are the foundation upon which future generations will stand.

So walk proudly.

Work honestly.

Dream boldly.

And never forget where your journey began.

Finally, I want to return all glory to Almighty Allah.

Without Him, none of this would have been possible.

May He bless the work of our hands.

May He bless every graduate.

May He bless every parent.

May He bless every member of the JAF family.

And may He make today’s success the beginning of greater achievements in your lives.
