Ikirun Tuntun Agenda: From Vision to Action

The declining confidence in public primary education is a serious concern. Many of us were products of public schools, where dedicated teachers laid the foundation of who we are today. We must collectively restore that confidence and ensure every child has access to quality education.

As part of our engagements with Hon. Soji Adetunji, we raised the need for educational support for public primary school pupils, particularly new intakes this term. He listened, he agreed, and to the glory of God, preparations are ongoing. Support will be rolled out soon.

Plans to extend similar intervention to secondary school students are also under consideration.

Hon. Soji Adetunji has also given us the green light to champion the Ikirun–Ogbomoso Road, via Eko-Ende, through a motion on the floor of the Green Chamber when the National Assembly resumes.

This strategic road will enhance trade, improve connectivity and reduce travel time between Ikirun and Ilorin. It is a development cause worth pursuing, and we are committed to it.

I can also confirm that Hon. Soji Adetunji is ready to hold townhall meetings with his constituents, listen directly to the people and present his scorecard. This is the representation we desire: accessible, responsive and accountable.

We are Oliver Twist; we will continue to ask for more, not because we do not appreciate what has been done, but because Ikirun deserves more.

As a first-termer, Hon. Soji Adetunji did what he could within his capacity. As he seeks a second term, the mission is clear: consolidate the gains, expand the impact and deliver far more for his constituency, especially our dear Ikirun.
